Shipping Container Delivery UK Wide
We deliver and position containers throughout the UK. Here's what happens on delivery day, what access is needed and how to prepare your site.
Coverage
Delivered throughout the UK
We deliver to England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Delivery and positioning is quoted based on your location, the size and weight of the unit, the access at your site and the handling equipment required.
The more you tell us up front about access, ground conditions and any restrictions, the more accurate your delivery quotation will be — and the less likely there are to be surprises on the day.

Delivery day
What happens on the day
From booking through to the container sitting on your base, here's the sequence.
We confirm the details
Once your order is placed we confirm the delivery address, access, preferred orientation and any site restrictions with you.
We book the delivery
Delivery is scheduled with the right vehicle and lifting equipment for your site. We'll confirm the date with you.
The vehicle arrives
Containers arrive on a lorry with a hiab crane or a tilt-and-slide trailer, depending on access and site conditions.
We position the unit
The container is lifted and set down on your prepared base, facing the direction you've asked for wherever the site allows.
Tilt-and-slide trailer
The container is slid off the back of the trailer onto the ground. Needs a reasonably straight, clear run and level ground.
Hiab lorry crane
The container is lifted and placed directly where you want it. Requires enough overhead clearance for the crane to operate safely.
Access requirements
What we need for a smooth delivery
Vehicle access
A clear route for a large lorry to reach the drop point, including turning space.
Overhead clearance
No low branches, cables or bridge restrictions along the route at heights the hiab needs to lift.
Width & gates
Gateways and lanes need to accommodate the vehicle and, on some drops, the container's swing.
Ground conditions
Firm ground for the lorry to stand on while lifting. Soft ground risks the vehicle becoming stuck.
Parked vehicles
Clear the route of parked cars and obstacles on the day — it saves time and avoids damage.
Neighbours
If the only sensible route crosses private land or shared access, let us know in advance.
Before delivery
Preparing your site
A little preparation makes delivery day straightforward and protects both the container and your site.
- Prepare a firm, level base — compacted hardstanding, concrete pads or sleepers
- Allow the container to sit fully supported, with no overhang or unsupported corners
- Clear the delivery route and drop zone of vehicles and obstructions
- Trim any overhanging branches that would obstruct the vehicle or lifting equipment
- Confirm with us beforehand if access is tight, uneven or on a slope
- Arrange for someone to be on site to direct the driver if access is complicated
Not sure about your access?
Send us photos of the route and the drop point when you enquire. It's the quickest way for us to confirm what's achievable and quote accurately.
